Leadchip was originally the SICG group and APM (Advanced Power Management) business unit of Shanghai Belling founded by Zheng Zhang in November 2003. From late 2005, a group of power IC veterans from Silicon Valley started discussion with Belling and signed an incubation contract in 2006. The incubation criteria were met two years ahead of schedule, and Leadchip was registered on November 21, 2007. Leadchip (APM unit) doubled its revenue every year since it was founded. Many famous companies, including Huawei, Siemens, etc., are our customers. By fourth quarter of 2008, month revenue already reached 15M RMB (over $2M/month).

Leadchip is the only power IC company in China that has strong support from 4-inch, 5-in, 6-inch and 8-inch wafer production lines. These production lines meet all the needs for power IC industry and, so we can optimize performance over cost to a level hard for our competitors to match. With these manufacturing resources and huge package volume, we can offer our customers high performance and cost effective products. The proprietary high voltage process we co-developed with Belling enables us to compete with non-Asia competitors. The 100V and 600V MOSFET driver series we developed can be widely used for motor drive, air conditioning and lighting market, etc. We are devoting to save 86% of the electric usage. Our mission is to become an energy-saving company.
